This policy explains how BookMedTrip ("BookMedTrip", "we") handles your personal data when you use bookmedtrip.com and our services. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.
What We Collect
- Contact details: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country and city.
- Health information you choose to share: your condition, treatment area, questions, and any reports or documents you attach to a form or send through our secure link.
- Files you attach: such as reports, a CV, or photos for a community request. They are stored privately, encrypted, and only our team can open them.
- Travel details: travel dates, companions, and the travel help you ask for.
- Payment records: amount, currency, date and payment reference. Card details are handled by Razorpay; we never receive or store them.
- Technical data: your browser type and the page that referred you, used to keep the site working and secure.
- Website statistics: pages viewed, time on page, buttons clicked, form steps completed, the website or campaign that sent you, and your approximate country and city. We collect these ourselves, without cookies or advertising trackers. We never store your IP address; we use a code that changes every day, so visits can't be linked across days or traced back to you. If your browser sends a "Global Privacy Control" or "Do Not Track" signal, we don't collect these statistics. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies.
How We Use It
- To arrange your specialist consultation and, if you go ahead, your treatment, travel and stay.
- To contact you about your request by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- To process payments and keep records required by law.
- To protect the website from spam and misuse, including Cloudflare Turnstile checks on our forms.
- To understand which pages and services are useful, so we can improve them.
We do not sell your data and we do not use your health information for advertising.
Who We Share It With
- The doctors and hospitals reviewing your case, only with your consent and only what they need.
- Travel providers (airlines, hotels, transport) for the bookings you ask us to make.
- Service providers that run our website and payments, including Cloudflare (hosting and database) and Razorpay (payments).
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Consent and Your Rights
You give consent when you submit a form. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us; this won't affect anything already done with your consent. You can ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, and to name someone to act for you. Some records, such as payment records, may need to be kept for legal reasons.
How Long We Keep It
We keep your data only as long as needed for your request and any follow-up care, and for the periods required by tax and other laws. Then we delete it. Website statistics are deleted after about 13 months. Messages marked as spam are deleted after 30 days.
Security
Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS) with strict security settings. Data and files are stored in encrypted, private storage with access limited to our care team, who sign in with a one-time link sent to our company email. Every access to your files is logged. Please don't send passport numbers or card details in forms, chat or email.
Grievances and Contact
For privacy questions or complaints, contact our grievance officer, our privacy team, at care@bookmedtrip.com. We'll respond as quickly as we can. If you're not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
