From Nepal to Chandigarh
Trusted treatment in India for families from Nepal
No visa, many daily flights and a shared culture make Chandigarh an easy choice for Nepali families. We help you compare hospitals, costs and recovery plans before you travel.

Why BookMedTrip matters for patients from Nepal
Nepal has about one doctor per 1,000 people and families pay close to 60% of health costs out of pocket, so advanced surgery and cancer care can mean long waits or high bills at home. Because Nepali citizens need no visa for India, many families come for specialist opinions, transplants and complex surgery.
What families from Nepal often come for
Every plan starts with a specialist reviewing your reports — on a US$99 consultation that includes two calls.
Visa
Nepali citizens do not need a visa to enter India under the long-standing India-Nepal arrangement; carry a valid passport or citizenship certificate when flying. The e-Visa list does not apply to Nepal.
Always confirm on the official Indian visa portal before you apply.
航班
Nepal Airlines, IndiGo and Air India fly non-stop Kathmandu-Delhi, around 79 flights a week (FlightConnections). Many families also travel overland through the open border by road.
We can book your tickets — see Book tickets. Languages we hear from Nepal: Nepali, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Hindi widely understood.

Most fly from Kathmandu to Delhi, then take a one-hour flight to Chandigarh (IXC). Some routes connect through the Gulf. We plan flights, airport pick-up and stay for you.
Do patients from Nepal need a medical visa for India?
Yes — apply for an e-Medical visa on the official portal, indianvisaonline.gov.in, with a letter from the treating hospital. Up to two family members can travel on e-Medical Attendant visas.
Can I speak to a doctor before I travel?
