What Transparent Medical Travel Really Means
Врачи с именами, письменные сметы, раскрытые комиссии, никаких платных размещений и право передумать: как должна выглядеть прозрачность и как проверить любого посредника.

“Transparent” is easy to write on a website. Here is what it should mean in practice, and how to test it with any facilitator, including us.
- You know who the doctor is — name, hospital and qualifications — before you pay for a consultation.
- Estimates are written and itemised, and changes are confirmed in writing.
- Fees are disclosed: what you pay the facilitator, and whether the hospital pays them anything.
- No paid placements: a hospital’s position on a website should not be for sale.
- You can get another opinion without being made to feel disloyal.
- You can see your own records and take them with you.
- Complaints have a path: a named person, a timeline, an answer.
- No cash to individuals: every payment has a receipt.
Test it: ask any facilitator these eight questions in writing. Clear, written answers are a good sign. Our own answers are on How we choose doctors, hospitals and prices.
